City of Horta

Located in a beautiful bay, the city of Horta has a cosmopolitan atmosphere that radiates from its busy mythical and colorful Marina to the restaurants, museums, cafes, stores, squares, parks and beaches.

We recommend that you discover the city on foot. Be sure to walk along the main avenue overlooking the bay and visit the marina and the historic streets. It is an enriching experience! There are companies that organize guided tours of the city.

Horta also has a diversified selection of stores, restaurants, bars, cafes, museums and cultural spaces. If you prefer an activity close to nature, you may chose the Entre Montes trail, go to the beaches of Porto Pim or Conceição or have a barbecue or picnic in the Alagoa Parque.

Day or night, in hot or cold days, with sun or rain, Horta is always an excellent option to spend the day or to visit after a full day of nature activities.
