The last days of August come alive with the Festas do Varadouro.

This annual event celebrates local culture and brings the community together for days of festivities by the sea. From 28 August to 1 September, the picturesque area of Varadouro, in the parish of Capelo, becomes the stage for a programme featuring tribute concerts, traditional music and dance performances, nautical competitions, and local DJ acts.

The Festas do Varadouro have a strong religious component, reflected in the celebrations in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes.
