Dieses Reservat besteht aus der geologischen Formation namens Morro de Castelo Branco, die aus einem Vulkanausbruch an der K\u00fcste vor circa 30.000 Jahren entstanden ist und eine Fl\u00e4che von insgesamt 138 ha umfasst.<\/p>\n<p>Aufgrund seiner Eigenschaften und seiner Abgeschiedenheit ist dieser Ort bei den Seev\u00f6geln sehr beliebt, die zum Nisten hierher kommen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren der <a href=\"https:\/\/parquesnaturais.azores.gov.pt\/pt\/parques\/3\/guia\/categoria\/1\/item\/3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sepiasturmtaucher<\/a> (Calonectris diomedea), der zwischen M\u00e4rz und Oktober zum Br\u00fcten auf die Azoren zieht, die Flussseeschwalbe (Sterna hirundo) und der Zwergsturmtaucher (Puffinus assimilis baroli) (Weiteres erfahren Sie unter Vogelbeobachtung). Sie finden hier auch endemische Pflanzen wie Heidekraut und die seltenere Azorenglockenblume (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifevidalia.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azorina vidalii<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Dies ist ein gro\u00dfartiger Ort f\u00fcr einen kurzen<a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverfaial.com\/experencias\/passeios-a-pe\/\"> Spaziergang durch die Natur<\/a>, ein Picknick, zum Nachdenken und zur Vogelbeobachtung.
